Nidderdale and District Drama Festival
Website designed and hosted by David Ayre, Comtech Software 2014
The Nidderdale and District Drama Association and its annual, professionally-adjudicated festival were founded by the late Charles Smith (of Summerbridge Players) and the late Frank Burgess (of Pateley Bridge Dramatic Society) in 1963.
The festival is annually affiliated to the All-England Theatre Festival (AETF) which runs the only countrywide, competitive drama festival for one-act plays in performance. Two NDDA winners, Harrogate Dramatic Society in 2013 and Bishop Monkton Entertainments Group in 2006, have been AETF finalists. Details of all aspects of the AETF (including the progress of this year’s festival) can be found on aetf.org.uk.
